When Felecia’s daughter called to tell her, “I’m done; I can’t do this anymore.” Her heart sank.  She knew her daughter had been struggling with depression for quite some time, yet she and her husband struggled to find the answers to help their daughter.  However, after reaching out to I am Teen Strong, they quickly found the right fit of services to help their daughter…and save her life!

Our teens are struggling with their mental health and asking for resources.

According to the 2024 Arizona Alliance for Adolescent Health report, Arizona teens, 14 years to 18 years, are saying, “The biggest barriers youth could face when seeking suicide prevention services is being unaware of the resources available and the prevalence of stigma associated with seeking help.”

As teen girls struggle with their mental health more so than boys, at I am Teen Strong, we envision a community where teen girls have the RESOURCES and SUPPORT to become their authentic, confident, courageous selves. To be the hero in their own story of resilience and strength.

I am Teen Strong was created to connect teen girls to the resources, tools, and education they need to develop a path for positive growth, discover their greatness within, and grow in resiliency, confidence, and mindfulness.

With over 120 Arizona state-wide resources in our directory, we connect teens and their families to the resources needed to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of girls ages 12 years – 18 years. Our directory includes contacts for hotlines, behavioral health, community programs, domestic violence, eating disorders, education & leadership, food, clothing & shelter, pregnancy & sexual health, sex trafficking, and substance abuse.
