As we look to the new year for opportunities to make a difference in our lives and that of others, let us realize the ripple effect of grateful living.  Let us spread kindness and inspire those around us.

Though some days it may be a challenge, waking up and choosing an attitude of gratitude can be infectious. Your mindset and kindness can inspire others to choose to maintain positivity throughout their day as well.  A simple small act of kindness can go a long way – a smile, an acknowledgement or taking a moment to be a listening ear, can provide so much support to someone who may need it. A positive attitude of gratitude can affect how you interact with your family, friends, and really anyone around you. As you spread light, they, in turn, go through their day encouraged and continue to spread gratefulness beyond what you can see or even comprehend.

Having the ability to focus on what you are thankful for is a skill that has to be practiced constantly and there are various techniques that can be learned through self-help channels or via professional support like therapists or coaches, but even though it may feel like hard work, it’s an act of self-love that can have a far-reaching effect on those around you.

Give it a chance today and see what good comes from it.
