The world can be an overwhelming place. Do you ever feel frazzled?
Many times, we can feel this in how we’re breathing, sleeping, and showing up in the world.
The days on the calendar catch up to us. A full schedule is fun and exciting and can also leave us feeling drained and tired. Often when we’re feeling this way, the way that we speak to ourselves is not very nice. Our self-talk gets more intense.
Where we might normally extend grace to ourselves, we are extra critical. This inner critic rears its head at the most inconvenient of times. When we have more on our plate, we need space to process, rest, and simply be. In this space, when we need love, we often find criticism.
Our bodies listen to us. Have you ever heard the phrase – mind, body, spirit? All of these are intertwined. When one is out of balance, the others sense it. We may feel aches in our bodies, hear extra overwhelm in our thoughts, or feel restless for no reason.
Simple breathing exercises, walks in nature, and grounding nervous system practices can help bring us back to center.
